Weekend displays, activities to show off local arts and artists



The festival will showcase local talent.
HERMITAGE, Pa. -- The Hermitage Arts Festival, billed as a celebration of the visual, performing and culinary arts, will be held this weekend in Rodney White Olympic Park and surrounding grounds.
The park is located behind the municipal building at 800 N. Hermitage Road.
The event is sponsored by the city, the Shenango Valley Performing Arts Council, the Arc of Mercer County and the Children's Center of Mercer County, and some of the activities will take place on the Arc's and the Children's Center properties.
The goal is to showcase the talents of people in the community, offering artists and performers a venue to display their skills.
There will be a Children's Fun Fest offering face painting, art activities and sidewalk art, demonstrations of various art forms, culinary demonstrations and strolling quartets and other entertainment.

10:30 a.m.: Art in Movement.1 p.m.: Toast of the Town Tappers.4 p.m. Sugar Fuzz Orchestra.6 p.m.: Country Cloggers.
