HUBBARD
July 17
Assault: A Hubbard man reported being assaulted while on a driveway to a residence in the 900 block of Saul Drive.
July 18
Criminal mischief: A woman reported someone tossed eggs at her home in the 100 block of Orchard Avenue.
July 19
Recovered property: A boy in the 100 block of West Liberty Street returned a 20-inch girls' bicycle he found behind a vacant home in the 100 block of Orchard Avenue.
Criminal damaging: A man discovered someone threw a rock through his truck's window while the vehicle was parked at a construction site on Caroline Avenue.
LIBERTY
July 13
Criminal damaging: Someone damaged a car's antenna at a home in the 3000 block of Northgate Avenue.
Drugs: After stopping a vehicle at Perkins Family Restaurant, 3632 Belmont Ave., police arrested a 28-year-old Youngstown man on one felony count of possession of crack cocaine and a misdemeanor charge of driving under suspension. Officers say they found suspected crack cocaine in the car.
Theft: A Warren man staying at the Tallyho-tel, 4249 Belmont Ave., reported his debit card stolen from his room.
July 14
Stolen property: An employee at National City Bank, 4499 Belmont Ave., called police after a Youngstown woman, 43, attempted to cash a suspicious check, possibly stolen.
Arrest: A 42-year-old man was arrested at his home in the 200 block of Colonial Drive on a warrant charging him with deception to obtain dangerous drugs.
Bad checks: An employee at Penguin Check Cashing, 3233 Belmont Ave., reported a woman cashed two checks totaling $1,200 and that, after she tried to cash a third check, he learned the previous two had been stolen.
Burglary: A woman returned to her home in the 3000 block of Northgate Avenue and discovered her back door open. A 27-inch television, five speakers, a $70 vacuum cleaner and a checkbook were missing.
July 15
Theft/recovered property: A Girard man told police that he lent a friend a $1,700 air compressor and that the friend failed to return the item. The victim later discovered the compressor had been stolen after he visited a Niles pawn shop, and he retrieved the device.
Breaking and entering: A man in the 300 block of Warner Road reported a $70 chain saw and two leaf blowers had been removed from his garage.
July 16
Truck theft: A Poland man reported his 1994 Chevy S-10 pickup truck stolen from Cleveland Auto Wrecking Co. Inc., 2700 Youngstown-Hubbard Road.
July 17
Arrests: After three witnesses told police they saw two people leave Giant Eagle, 4700 Belmont Ave., without paying for 10 cans of baby formula, officers arrested two Youngstown men, 34 and 53, and a Niles woman, 29, near Logan Way and state Route 304. Each was charged with felony receiving stolen property, and one of the men also faced a charge of driving under the influence.
Assault: A 34-year-old Youngstown man was arrested at a residence in the 2900 block of Roosevelt Drive on an assault charge after his girlfriend alleged that he punched her.
Auto theft: A man reported his 1991 Chevy Lumina stolen from his home in the 4000 block of Madison Road.
July 20
Recovered property: After police responded to a vehicle on fire in the 3700 block of Logan Gate Road, they discovered the 1999 Dodge Dakota truck had been stolen from a Youngstown man.
GIRARD
July 17
Theft: Police arrested a Niles man, 40, and a Youngstown man, 28, on charges of theft and criminal trespass for stealing scrap metal from Trinity Industries, 950 S. State St.
Assault: A Girard man reported another man pulled a knife on him during a confrontation at a residence in the 600 block of Washington Avenue. He also told police another man struck him in the head.
Assault: A Mineral Ridge man sought medical attention after he reported that 10 people jumped and struck him in the Mikeee's parking lot, 30 N. State St. The victim required several stitches to his chin area and the inside of his mouth.
Assaults: A Youngstown woman alleged her former sister-in-law struck her in the mouth and the back of her head during a birthday party at a residence in the 100 block of Ada Street. The other woman alleged the Youngstown woman punched her in the face. Both women had injuries that included a bloody lip, redness and a small cut.
July 18
Possible theft: A Girard woman reported a vehicle she borrowed had its front license plate removed while she was in the 400 block of Lawrence Avenue.
