YOUNGSTOWN -- Police using search warrants made three drug-related arrests Wednesday afternoon at two residences.
At 433 W. Marion Ave., police arrested Damon Damous, 22, of that address, on charges of possession of crack cocaine and illegal possession of weapons based on a prior conviction. Police confiscated four handguns and the suspected drugs.
Outside the house, police arrested Johnny Dawson, 15, who lives nearby on West Marion, on a charge of aggravated trafficking in cocaine. Police said they saw him toss under a truck a bag with five packaged-for-sale rocks of suspected crack and then step onto his porch. He was taken to the Martin P. Joyce Juvenile Justice Center.
At 620 Griffith St., Apartment 203, police arrested George Jones, 50, of that address, on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia (crack pipe and scale). Suspected crack cocaine found at the apartment was field-tested and showed a negative result.
