AT THE SCENE: Niles police and emergency personnel screen onlookers from viewing the scene where Erica Mechling, 21, of Wood Street was shot to death. Mechling's body was found in a neighbor's yard Wednesday morning. Police later shot a man identified by the man's brother as James Fambro-Wade, who died of his wounds Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.
