Summary of police activity from the city of Canfield and Austintown:
CANFIELD
July 7
Arrest: A 38-year-old Canfield man was arrested on a charge of possession of a drug instrument after police found a hypodermic needle on him with a spoon that had suspected heroin residue on it.
July 8
Theft: The owner of a car parked in the 100 block of Laurel Hills Lane reported numerous items stolen from his vehicle, including credit cards, driver's license, a GPS personal navigation system and a radar detector.
July 12
Internet fraud: A woman reported sending $1,600 to pay for the purchase of a computer through E-Bay, but never receiving the merchandise.
Criminal mischief: A house in the 100 block of Morningview Circle was egged.
July 13
Felony Drug Abuse/Possession: A 22-year-old Boardman woman was arrested when police found generic Vicodin in her possession. Also arrested was a 27-year-old Canfield man who had Roxicet, a narcotic, and a generic form of Percosett, on charges of drug abuse, obtaining and possession.
July 17
Drug possession: Suspected marijuana was found on a 29-year-old Ellwood City, Pa,. man on West Main Street.
AUSTINTOWN
July 11
Burglary: Video games were taken from a residence in the 4000 block of Wedgewood Drive.
Theft: Money was paid for a dog that was never delivered in the 5000 block of Mahoning Avenue.
Burglary: A door was damaged at a residence in the 3000 block of Cannon Road.
Theft: Two females were charged with theft at Payless Shoe Source, 6000 Mahoning Ave..
Theft: Two females were charged with theft at Rainbow, 6000 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A cell phone was taken from the 900 block of Compass West apartments.
Theft: A window was broken and a compact disc player taken from a vehicle parked in the 400 block of South Raccoon Road.
Attempted burglary: A window screen was taken out in the residential 400 block of South Edgehill Avenue.
Criminal damage: Vinyl siding was hit by fireworks at a residence in the 4000 block of Sheffield Drive.
July 13
Criminal damage: A mailbox was damaged by fireworks in the 3000 block of Ayrshire Drive.
Burglary: A garage was entered and a vehicle damaged in the 900 block of Collins Street.
Vehicle theft: A 1986 GMC pickup was stolen from the 1000 block of South Raccoon Road.
Theft: Money orders were stolen from Advance Check Cashing, 3700 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A purse was stolen from a vehicle in the 1000 block of Paisley Street.
Burglary: An electronic item was stolen from the 4000 block of East Rockwell Road.
Theft: A Hoover steam cleaner was stolen from K Mart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: Power equipment was taken from a garage in the 3000 block of South Canfield-Niles Road.
Burglary: A Saws-all was taken from a garage in the 4000 block of Kirk Road.
July 14
Theft: Tools were taken from a residence in the 6000 block of Mahoning Avenue.
Receiving stolen property: A male and female were charged with receiving a stolen check at Sky Bank, 6010 Mahoning Ave.
Arrests: Two Austintown males were arrested, one for sale of liquor to a minor and the other for possession of dangerous drugs in the 5000 block of South Edgehill Avenue and Huntmere Avenue.
Theft: Three females are charged with theft at J. C. Penney's, 6000 Mahoning Ave.
July 15
Auto theft: A white 1991 Chevrolet was stolen on Carnage Avenue.
Theft: A driver's license was stolen from a vehicle in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Drive.
Theft: Money was taken from an apartment in the 1000 block of Fountain Square apartments.
July 16
Criminal trespass: A male suspect was jailed on a trespassing charge at an apartment in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.
Theft: Two suspects were charged with theft at Cracker Barrel, Interstate Blvd.
Theft: Two rocking chairs were taken from a residence in the 5000 block of London Drive.
Drug offense: A Canfield man was charged with possession of marijuana at Burgett Road and South Raccoon Road.
Theft: A female victim of the 5000 block of Mahoning Avenue reported she ordered but never received a puppy.
Breaking and entering: Kar Max, 1209 South Raccoon Road, was broken into and gas or electric super bikes were taken. Entry was gained by driving through the overhead door.
July 1
Criminal Damage: Lawn damage was reported in the 4000 block of Viall Road.
Auto theft: A 1979 Chevrolet Malibu was stolen from the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.
July 18
Theft: A male and female suspects were placed in the county jail for theft in the rear lot at TA Travel Center, 5400 Seventy-Six Drive.
Criminal damage: Vehicle tires were cut in the residential 1000 block of South Raccoon Road.
Criminal damage: Windows were damaged at Woodside Elementary School, 4105 Elmwood Ave.
Criminal damage: A vehicle tire was damaged in the 4000 block of Washington Square.
Criminal damage: The front windshield of a vehicle was shot with a BB in the 4000 block of Kirk Road.
Criminal damage: A bullet hole was made through the siding of a residence in the 5000 block of Norquest Boulevard.
Auto theft: A 1990 Chevrolet was stolen in the 4000 block of Kirk Road.
Criminal damage: The front window of Schooley Jewelers at 5625 Mahoning Ave. was shattered.
Criminal trespass: A female was arrested for criminal trespass and a male for possession of drug paraphernalia at the TA Travel Center, 5400 Seventy-Six Drive.
