Ohio Lightning 5, Livi Steel 3 -- Down 4-0, Livi Steel rallied for two runs in the sixth and one in the seventh but fell short as they lost their first game in the tournament.
Rick Banna pitched the first six innings and suffered the loss. He had seven strikeouts and walked five, allowing five runs.
Livi Steel 9, Shannon Fence 5 -- Livi scored five times in the bottom of the first inning and went on to eliminate Shannon Fence.
Josh Geric had two singles and drove in three runs while Dan Morrison added two hits and a pair of runs batted in. Mark Tanner went four innings for the win despite walking 10 men. Brian Youchak added a double for Livi Steel.
Mink Financial 4, Fielders Choice 2 -- Pat Elias had a pair of doubles and drove in two runs for Mink.
Jeremy Hartman tossed a complete game with seven strikeouts while allowing just two runs on six hits. Ian Poole went the distance for Fielders Choice, allowing just two earned runs while also striking out seven.
Cleveland Panthers 7, Mink Financial 0 -- Ryan Mullins allowed just two singles to Mink as he tossed the shutout for the Panthers. Mullins walked one and had seven strikeouts.
Tom Farmer had a pair of doubles and four runs batted in for the winners.
Jay Yorty suffered the loss on the mound for Mink while Dave Piersante and Brad Borghetti had the hits for the losers.
Koch/Line Drive 9, Shannon Fence 3 -- Joe Koch Consruction/Line Drive Academy pounded out 15 hits, including five doubles. Matt Madrid had three hits while Adam Boris, Anthony Porter and Mike Eliseo added two each. All four had doubles.
Nate Tacsik added two singles while winning pitcher Kevin Sikora had a double and struck out seven in his five innings of work. Drew Franczek had two hits, including a double for Shannon Fence.
