HOUSTON -- Tina Thompson scored 18 points to lead Houston over Connecticut, the first time in more than a month that the Comets have won consecutive games. After Taj McWilliams-Franklins layup pulled the Sun to 41-40 early in the second half, Houston (10-12) responded with a 10-0 run to break the game open. Thompson and Sheryl Swoopes (15 points) each scored four points during the run for the Comets, who hadn't won consecutive games since mid-June. Nykesha Sales scored 19 points for the Sun (11-11), who have lost three straight and four of five following a six-game winning streak.
