SUSAN METRORAYMOND TOBIN
XAUSTINTOWN -- Susan E. Metro and Raymond J. Tobin, both of 252 Fox Run Lane, Carthage, N.C., were married by the Rev. Gary Koerth at 5 p.m. June 19 at Tabernacle Evangelical Presbyterian Church. A reception was held at the U.S. Air Force Reserve Base in Vienna to honor the daughter of the late Millard and Margaret Daisher, who had lived in Youngstown, and the son of Donald and Dorothy Tobin of Albany, N.Y.
After a honeymoon in Las Vegas, the couple live in Carthage.
The bodice of the bride's ivory A-line gown was encrusted with pearls and diamond beading and featured an off-the-shoulder neckline.
A light-blue gown was worn by Wendy Metro, the honor attendant. Flower girl, Logan Metro, wore an ivory gown.
The bride was escorted by David Daisher. Best man was Richard Metro, ring bearer was Nathan Metro, and usher was Scott Daisher.
The bride, a registered nurse and an inservice educator with Liberty Home Care in Pinehurst, N.C., earned a bachelor's degree in education at Youngstown State University and an associate in nursing at Maria College in Albany. She has served with the U.S. Air Force Reserve Nurse Medical Corps for 24 years.
The groom earned a bachelor's and a master's degree in biology and physiology at Russell Sage College in Albany, and a master's in education at St. Rose College in Albany. He attended the University of New England Medical School in Maine and is a science teacher at 71st High School in Fayetteville, N.C.
