XYOUNGSTOWN -- Rising Star Baptist Church was the setting at 2 p.m. June 12 for the wedding of Lynette C. Frost, a daughter of Lillian Frost, 406 Gypsy Lane, and the late Hugh Frost, and Jamael Tito Brown, a son of Bernice Brown, 2248 Ohio Ave., and the late Tommie Witherspoon.
The Rev. Gary Frost officiated, and a reception was held at the Maronite Center. After a honeymoon cruise to the eastern Caribbean, the couple live at the Ohio Avenue address.
The bride's strapless, A-line gown of diamond-white organza featured a sheer bolero jacket with bell sleeves.
The honor attendant, Ercila Harrison, wore a wine-colored gown. Wearing petal-pink gowns were the bridesmaids, Leslie Kitchen, Ebony Billups, Michelle Evans, Jada Veneable, Linda Crosby, Sheila Lawson, Monique Phifer and Lisa Belcher-Nelson. Flower girls were Parris Lofton and Joh'nay Simmons.
Aaron Brown was best man, and groomsmen were Kenny Staples, Ernest Tate, Hugh A. Frost, Terrell Billups, Jason Switka, Rashaad Winford, Darryl Skinner and Antwan Mauzy. Ring bearer was Jaylen McCollum, and town crier was Benjamin Frost. Ushers were Zerrick Staples, Daniel Frost, Andre Eggleston, William Mack and Eddie Driscoll.
The bride and groom graduated from Youngstown State University. She is a caseworker with Mahoning County Children Services. He is a member of Youngstown City School Board and a community organizer at YSU, where he is pursuing a master's in clinical counseling.
