XGREENVILLE, S.C. -- Kristen Marie Bentfeld, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred T. Bentfeld, 501 Tornblade Blvd., formerly of Youngstown, and Kenneth Davis McClendon, a son of Mr. and Mrs. James W. McClendon, 210 Clem Road, Greenwood, S.C., were married by the Rev. Ludwig Weaver at 6 p.m. June 26 at Westminster Presbyterian Church.
After a reception at the Tornblade Club in Greer, S.C., the couple left on a wedding trip to Negril, Jamaica. They live in Greenwood.
Beaded and reembroidered Alencon lace adorned the bride's strapless gown of ivory silk satin.
Wearing pink gowns were the honor attendants, Kara Lynn and Kelly Ann Bentfeld, and the bridesmaids, Catherine McNicholas-Winburn, Frances Annese, Jennifer Mathis, Kristen Coates, Carie McClendon, Nikki Brandenburg and Leigh Brandenburg. Junior bridesmaid was Katie Bentfeld.
The groom's father was best man, and groomsmen were James McClendon Jr., Russell Mathis, Thomas Rouse, Jason McClendon, Kevin Culp, Kenneth Reagin, Dwight Funderburk III, David Holloway, Thomas Mauldin and Eric Cole.
The bride, a teacher at Pinecrest Elementary School in Greenwood, holds a bachelor's degree from the College of Charleston in South Carolina and a master's from Converse College, Spartanburg, S.C.
The groom attended the Presbyterian College in Clinton, S.C., and the College of Charleston. He is a Realtor with Grand Harbor Golf and Yacht Club in Ninety Six, S.C.
