XWHEATON, Ill. -- The wedding of Kerri Kreidler and John Serfling took place at 6:30 p.m. June 12 at Cantigny Golf Club with the Rev. Ruth VanDemark officiating.
A reception followed at the club in honor of the daughter of Barbara Kreidler of Austintown and the late Thomas Kreidler and the son of Lloyd Serfling of Wheaton and Carol Serfling of Batavia, Ill.
The couple are living in Western Springs, Ill.
The bride's gown was fashioned of pearl-white beaded charmeuse with a V-shaped halter neckline enhanced with bugle beads and rhinestones. The skirt fell to a brush train.
Her sister, Marianne Shank of Geneva, Ill., was matron of honor, and junior bridesmaids were the groom's nieces, Rachel and Emily Serfling of Wheaton. They wore Victorian lilac gowns.
Ring bearer was Nathaniel Shank of Geneva, Ill., the bride's nephew.
Mrs. Serfling holds a bachelor's degree in education from Youngstown State University and a master's in education from St. Xavier University in Chicago. She is a fourth-grade teacher at Congress Park School in Brookfield, Ill.
Her husband earned a bachelor's degree at Eastern Illinois University and a master's at the University of Illinois. He is assistant vice president of Northern Trust Co. in Chicago.
