XWHEELING, W.Va. -- The Chapel of Mary and Joseph at Wheeling Jesuit University was the setting June 19 for the wedding of Gina Marangoni, 275 E. 15th St., Columbus, and Christopher Gabriel, 311 W. Fourth Ave., Columbus.
The daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Allen Marangoni, 31 S. Ridge Drive, Martins Ferry, and the son of Dr. and Mrs. Thomas M. Gabriel, 2375 Birch Trace Drive, Youngstown, exchanged nuptial vows in the presence of the Rev. Mike Steltenkamp.
After a reception held at the university, the couple left on a Caribbean cruise. They live in Columbus.
Matron of honor was the bride's sister, Laurie Yonak, and bridesmaids were Alison Poluga, Joanna Loeser, Molly Sandquist, Shannon Smith and Anna Ruggles.
The duties of best man were performed by Joe Toth, and groomsmen were Vinnie Dobransky; Dr. Scott and Jeff Gabriel, brothers of the groom; Adamo Freeman; and Joe Ceremuga.
A cum laude graduate of John Carroll University with a degree in biology, the bride received her doctor of optometry degree from Ohio State University College of Optometry. She is completing a fellowship in pediatrics and binocular vision at OSU.
The groom graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Youngstown State University, where he was a University Scholar. He earned a master's degree in chemistry at OSU, where he is pursuing a doctorate in organic chemistry.
