Becks honored at dinner for 50th anniversary

XCANFIELD -- Mr. and Mrs. John L. Beck of 9378 Lisbon Road were the guests of honor June 20 at a buffet dinner at the Greenford Community Center on the occasion of their golden wedding anniversary.
Hosts for the festivities were the couple's sons and daughters-in-law, Lee and Karen Beck of Greenford and Mark and Jill Beck of Columbiana, and the couple's five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Another granddaughter is deceased.
Mr. Beck and the former Dorothy Lehman were married June 20, 1954, at Midway Mennonite Church in Columbiana, where they are members. He was employed for 39 years as a structural ironworker, retiring in 1990.
His wife is a homemaker and volunteers at Ten Thousand Villages shop in Columbiana.
