AUT MORI Wallenda, tigers to perform at circus

Other circus features include an aerial ballet, a slack wire performer and, naturally, clowns.
STRUTHERS -- A member of the famous Wallenda family will perform at Aut Mori Grotto circus this week -- but not as a high-wire walker.
Tammy Wallenda and her tigers will be one of the attractions at Circus Aut Mori, which will be from Friday through next Sunday at Struthers Fieldhouse, 111 Euclid Ave.
Tammy Wallenda is a granddaughter of the late Karl Wallenda, the German-born founder of The Great Wallendas, whose reputation was as daredevil circus performers working without safety nets. For nearly 20 years, the Wallendas were associated with Ringling Bros. and Barnum & amp; Bailey Circus. Their most famous high-wire feats were riding bicycles and building a three-tier, seven-person pyramid.
Wallenda Enterprises of Sarasota, Fla., still offers circus entertainment, acrobats and performance artists, among others.
What's featured
Circus Aut Mori will feature jugglers, roller skaters, aerial ballet, a Lone Star revue featuring Christine Harriott and her ponies, slack wire performer Christopher James, acrobats and the Aut Mori clowns. These performers do not travel together but have been booked specifically for this circus.
Circus Aut Mori has returned to Struthers Fieldhouse, which was previously unavailable because of a renovation project that included installation of air conditioning. The circus was held at Canfield Fairgrounds last year.
Tickets for the first performance, at 3 p.m. Friday, are $8. Tickets are $10 and $15 to all other shows, at 8 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m., 3 and 8 p.m. Saturday; and 2 and 6 p.m. next Sunday. Call (330) 750-9486 for details.
