SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Lauren Jackson had 18 points and six rebounds, and Sue Bird scored 14 points for Seattle. Sheri Sam scored eight points for the Storm, who pulled away with a 16-5 run late in the second half for their third straight win over Sacramento. Jackson surpassed 2,000 career points with a 3-pointer late in the first half. The reigning league MVP took just six shots, but went 9-for-11 from the free throw line.

WASHINGTON-- Chamique Holdsclaw scored 19 points. Tamicha Jackson added 12 points for the Mystics (9-9). Washington equaled its win total from last season, when it went 9-25. Allison Feaster led Charlotte with 14 points.

HOUSTON -- Tina Thompson scored 21 of her 33 points in the first half as Houston ended a five-game losing streak. Deanna Nolan scored 16 points for the defending WNBA champions, who have lost two straight and fell to 8-9.

NEW YORK -- Katie Smith scored seven of her 12 points over the final two minutes. Vanessa Hayden, Amber Jacobs and Nicole Ohlde each added 11 points to help Minnesota to its fourth straight victory.

SAN ANTONIO -- LaToya Thomas had a season-high 23 points and Agnieszka Bibrzycka added a career-high 19 to lead San Antonio, which snapped a five-game losing streak.
