VIENNA -- There were a lot of fireworks in the two-day Cellular One Pro-Am Classic and B.J. Alan Fireworks Company president Bruce Zoldan's team was setting off most of them.
Zoldan, paired with his nephew Alexander Zoldan, area standout amateur Matt Kempe and Ryne Conder blistered the field both days and turned in the best two-day gross score and net score of the event.
The amateurs teamed with LPGA players Clarissa Childs on Wednesday and Charlotta Sorenstam Thursday to fire a 109.6 net total and a 110 scratch score.
The winners will only be able to win the scratch title because of tournament rules that allow just one event winner.
Long-ball hitter
Kempe, a standout in high school and college, was the mainstay of the group with his booming drives. He won one of the tournament's long drive holes on No. 13 with a drive well over 300 yards.
"He had another one that was over 400 yards on the par-5 that bounced off the cart path right in the middle of the fairway that left us 130 yards to the hole on Wednesday," Zoldan said.
The team made two eagles on Wednesday when it shot 19-under-par 53.
"We had two great pros," said Kempe.
Low net winners for the event went to the team of defending Giant Eagle champion Rachel Teske and Catherine Cartwright with a 111 total.
Most fitting was the fact that Teske's playing partners on Thursday were Giant Eagle executives Ray Burgo and Jim Faccenda, along with Mike Krugle and Kevin Shelton.
The top seven low net scores finished in the prize lists.

Second low net score came from the team of Anthony Aven, Chris DeJoseph, Ed DiPasquale and Mark Phillips along with pros Marisa Baena and Soo Young Moon with a 112, which was also its gross score.
Third place went to the team of George Hathaway, Rick Siegal, Jim Orzechowski and Robert Aldridge with pros Chiharu Yamaguchi and Diana D'Alessio at 113.
The fourth place team included Bob Gerberry, Jim Perry, George Pintea, Felix Cortez with pros A.J. Eathorne and Becky Iverson with a 114 score. It was tied with the team of Buzz Pishkur, Gary Mrozek, Breen Lyden and Mark Lyden and pros Jean Bartholomew and Jenna Daniels.
Sixth place went to the team of Mark McCloud, Steve Feidler, John Czaja and Matt Czaja with pros Seol-An Jeon and Colleen Walker at 114.2, while the final spot went to the team of Ashley Swift, Edward Kutch, Bob Koger and Rick Rising with pros Anna Acker-Macosko and Michelle McGann.
Besides Kempe, the other long drive winner was Tony Recchia on No. 5 for the men, while the women's winners were Chris Knapik on No. 13 and Patty Lang on No. 5.
