LPGA NOTEBOOK | From Squaw Creek Country Club

Long day: The weather played havoc with the first round of the Cellular One Pro-Am Classic on Wednesday. The morning round was held up for nearly an hour by rain and then stopped again for another delay. It took more than six hours to complete the 18 holes. The afternoon session was two hours late getting started.
Trying for a berth: Thirty-nine players in this week's field have signed up to participate in a 36-hole qualifier to earn one of five berths available for the 2004 Weetabix Women's British Open Championship in two weeks. The golfers will use their first two round scores of this tournament to decide the five spots.
Newest mom: Sue Ginter-Booker is in the field for this week's Giant Eagle Classic after giving birth to her first child, a boy, Lance, on May 8. Veteran Nancy Scranton is also playing this week and is expecting to give birth to twins this fall.
Happy birthday: Three players on the LPGA Tour who are playing this week at Squaw Creek Country Club will be celebrating birthdays. Patricia Baxter-Johnson (35) and A.J. Eathorne (28) had their birthdays on Monday while Pearl Sinn-Bonanni (37) will celebrate hers on Saturday.
