Liberty panel makes zoning recommendation
Liberty panel makeszoning recommendation
LIBERTY -- The township zoning commission is recommending to township trustees that 90 acres off state Route 304 not be rezoned for industry. Instead, the commission recommended Wednesday that 60 acres be rezoned from residential to commercial, and 30 acres remain residential. James Rodway, township zoning inspector, said the 30 acres that will remain residential if trustees approve are adjacent to an existing residential development. There will also be an additional 100-foot buffer on which nothing can be constructed. Builder Robert Walley of Liberty had told the commission he doesn't have any plans for the property. Homeowners along the adjacent housing development had vigorously opposed the requested change from residential to industrial.
