FBI offers reward for bank burglary information

FBI offers reward forbank burglary information
GREENVILLE, Pa. -- The FBI is offering an unspecified reward for information leading to the arrest of the burglar or burglars who took an undisclosed amount of money from the Sky Bank office at 187 Main St.
Police said they were alerted around 4:40 a.m. Tuesday when the bank's silent interior alarm was activated. By the time officers arrived, the intruder or intruders had already fled, said Police Chief Thomas Strahler.
Authorities believe entry to the building was gained by breaking an alley window in the basement.
Police on routine patrol had checked that alley around 4:15 a.m. and noticed nothing amiss at that time, Strahler said, theorizing that the intruder or intruders broke into the building sometime after that and made their way to the bank offices on the first floor.
Police wouldn't say whether the intruders were able to get into the bank vault, nor would they specify from where the money was taken.
Anyone with information on the crime can contact local police at (724) 588-4190 or the FBI at (412) 432-4000.
