Taft selects 3 for Campbell fiscal crisis panel

CAMPBELL -- A banker, business owner and assistant treasurer will sit on the committee that will develop a recovery plan for the city's fiscal crisis.
Gov. Bob Taft's office notified Mayor Jack Dill late last week that he had selected three individuals from among 10 applicants the mayor had submitted last month.
They are: Jacqueline M. Mickler, F. Anthony Fontes and Blaise E. Karlovic.
Mickler is branch manager and assistant vice president of First National Bank and Investment Services, Campbell.
Fontes owns Tiny Tots Child Development Center and Progressive Management Training Center.
Karlovic is a Campbell resident and assistant treasurer of the Youngstown Board of Education.
The three committee members selected by the governor from among interested applicants were required to reside in Campbell or operate a business in the city.
The mayor, president of council, a representative from the state director of budget and management's office, and a representative from the state treasurer's office will complete the committee, which has 120 days from the date the city was put in fiscal emergency to submit a plan for recovery.
