Shootings kill one, injure another in Youngstown
YOUNGSTOWN -- An unidentified man between the ages of 17 and 20 was shot to death and another man, 22, suffered multiple gunshot wounds in a shootout at about 11 p.m. Tuesday at 1524 Josephine St.
The shootings were possibly about money and drugs, a witness told police.
The victim who died had not been identified as of this morning, and no arrests had been made.
Police found the victim lying on his back, partly on the driveway and partly on the lawn, at the Josephine address. He was shot in the chest, neck and face.
They also found a semi-automatic handgun next to the victim as well as several shell casings.
Police forced in the door to the residence and found signs of a struggle, bloody footprints and a .38-caliber pistol.
The wounded man, Dewaylyn Colvin of Nelson Avenue, was shot multiple times in the upper body.
He was reported in stable condition this morning in St. Elizabeth Health Center.
