Loud car music is issue of respect, not age or wealth

Loud car music is issue ofrespect, not age or wealth
EDITOR:
I just read the comments from some of the areas citizens concerning the noise level of some vehicles. To the gentleman from Struthers who said it was rich people who were complaining, I am anything but rich, sweetie! And for anyone who thinks it is just old people who complain about it, I am not old either, I am only 44! This so-called music is not only annoying, some of it is downright disgusting!
Having the windows, walls and floors of my home (which is brick by the way) rattle at 3 p.m. is annoying; having it done at 3 a.m. is just plain ignorant! I lived in Youngstown for eight lousy years and am so happy I no longer have to listen to this garbage! For all of these people who must listen to this stuff, have you ever thought once of anyone but yourself?
There is nothing more annoying than having a car pull up alongside of you or behind you with the sound system up so loud that it rattles everything for two to six blocks around it. I really like having my car vibrated by some jerk's noise. Not only does my whole car vibrate, (which sends shock waves of pain through my spine -- and I have a bad back), it also interferes with my breathing! Whenever I am subjected to this horrific noise, I cannot catch my breath, because my whole body, especially my chest, is vibrating so badly!
What is really bad is the children in the cars with all this noise! We normal folks know you don't care about your hearing, but what about the children, some of whom are infants? This has got to be the reason why most of the kids on the South Side of Youngstown are half deaf. You say something to most of these kids, and all they do is say & quot;huh? & quot;
There used to be one guy who came to my house who had a stereo that could be heard six blocks away. He pulled into my driveway one day, and my windows started to rattle. I went out of the house with a baseball bat and gave him a choice: Turn the crap down or off, or I was going to beat the crap out of his stereo. When I was done with the stereo, he was next. He turned it off and never pulled into my driveway with that garbage blasting again. He turned it down when he pulled onto my street.
I think this garbage should be outlawed and am quite happy that the cops are finally doing something about it. It's about time! Then maybe the rest of the residents in Youngstown will be able to watch TV in the privacy of their homes without some jerk's stereo drowning it out! Maybe we will be able to hear the stereo or have a conversation in our own car without having to yell above the noise from someone else's car.

VA clinic is an asset of which the Valley can be proud
EDITOR:
As a Marine Corps veteran, I was proud to serve my country when called to active duty. Now, I am equally proud to have my country provide for me the medical care I need.
The biggest concern for our seniors is the rising cost of health care. This is why I am eternally grateful for our VA Outpatient Clinic in Youngstown. Our facility is one of the cleanest and best run clinics the VA has in operation. Our clinic is operated with a family atmosphere. From the moment you enter the door, you can feel at ease knowing you will be getting the best care.
Government regulations prohibit me from having my brother, Dr. Dave Yeropoli, as my VA health care provider. I have been assigned to Dr. John Nemes for the past nine years. He is not only my physician, but my dear friend.
We must not forget that its was U.S. Rep. James A. Traficant Jr. who was responsible for securing the government funding to open our clinic. I only hope our current congressman, Rep. Tim Ryan, will continue to keep our clinic safe and sound.
