MOTORSPORTS ROUNDUP Sunday's other races

Champ Car Series
TORONTO -- Sebastien Bourdais avoided trouble in a chaotic race and picked up a victory in the Toronto Molson Indy, his third win in a row.The 25-year-old Frenchman started from the pole and was virtually assured of his fourth win of the season and taking over the season point lead from Bruno Junqueira when his Newman/Haas Racing teammate crashed on the first turn of the race.Bourdais was totally in charge throughout the caution-filled race that was ended at just 84 laps -- 11 laps early -- because of a 1-hour and 45-minute time limit.Bourdais' seventh career victory and fourth in the last five races moved the second-year Champ Car driver to a 28-point (164-136) lead over Junqueira after six of 15 events. Patrick Carpentier, who finished third Sunday, is third with 129 points and Paul Tracy is fourth with 108. Jimmy Vasser was the runner-up Sunday.
British Grand Prix
SILVERSTONE, England -- Michael Schumacher won for the 10th time in 11 races this season, and notched his 80th career victory.Schumacher finished 2.1 seconds ahead of McLaren's Kimi Raikkonen and 3.1 ahead of Ferrari teammate Rubens Barrichello. His only loss of the year came at the Grand Prix of Monaco on May 23, when he and Juan Pablo Montoya touched while keeping their tires warm behind a safety car. With seven races remaining in the 18-race season, six-time series champion Schumacher leads the points standings with 100. Barrichello is second with 74 while Jenson Button, who finished fourth Sunday, is third with 53 points.Starting from fourth on the grid, Schumacher built up a 23.3-second lead over Raikkonen -- the pole sitter -- and pitted after 15 laps. He managed to get out just ahead of Raikkonen and held a narrow 1.3-second lead over the Finn after 16 laps.Schumacher and Raikkonen both pitted again midway through the race, but the German again kept his lead.A critical point came after Jarno Trulli of Renault crashed at the two-thirds mark of the 60-lap race. Trulli walked away from his shattered car after it spun several times and flipped over, eventually landing in a gravel run-off area. The race was run behind the safety car until after the 45th lap with Schumacher holding a narrow 0.2-second lead over Raikkonen. The last 15 laps showcased some of the best racing of the season, with Schumacher holding off Raikkonen to win his third British Grand Prix.Raikkonen, who finished two points behind Schumacher in last season's point standing, scored only one point in the first seven races. He has gotten progressively quicker since McLaren introduced its new model MP4-19B a week ago in the French Grand Prix. He qualified first for this race and had the top practice times.
