XBOARDMAN -- A reception at The Georgetown followed the June 5 wedding of Marilynn K. Smith and Brian P. Barnes, who exchanged marriage vows during a 1:30 p.m. ceremony at St. Charles Church.
The Rev. Matthew Mankowski officiated for the daughter of Daniel and Julia Smith, 255 Boardman Blvd., and the son of Larry Barnes, 7005 Lockwood Blvd., and Laurie Czoka of Concord, N.C.
The newlyweds spent their honeymoon in Florida and on a cruise to the Bahamas. They are living on Kerrybrook Drive in Austintown.
The bride wore a sleeveless satin gown trimmed with embroidery, pearls and diamond sequins.
Lisa Barnes, the grooms' sister, was maid of honor, and Melissa Sutara, the bride's aunt, was matron of honor. They wore pink gowns, as did the bridesmaids, Ashley Heck, Monika Murman and Kasia Krupa. The bride's cousin, Brittney Belanger, was flower girl.
The duties of best man were performed by Robert Barnes, the groom's brother, and serving as groomsmen were Mark Craciun, Nick Dercoli, T.J. Graham and Ryan Argiro. Joshua Smith, the bride's cousin, was ring bearer, and another cousin of the bride, Dustin Nerone, was an usher.
Mrs. Barnes is a graduate of Hondros College of Insurance in Columbus and is an office manager for Uptown Insurance Agency.
The groom is an auditor for Toys R Us Distribution Center in Youngstown.
