XYOUNGSTOWN -- John Calvin-St. Paul United Church of Christ was the setting June 12 for the wedding of Luann M. Ponzi and John C. Watson, both of 3623 South Ave.
The Rev. William J. Myers presided as vows were exchanged by the couple during a 2:45 p.m. ceremony.
A reception was held afterward at Soffo's in Boardman, where the newlyweds accepted congratulations before leaving on a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Ponzi, 3069 Churchill Road, Hillsville, Pa., and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Okie Watson, 2910 Jean St., live at the South Avenue address.
The bodice of the bride's strapless white gown was embellished with sequins.
Serving as honor attendants were the bride's sister, Mary Jo Ritter of Wampum, Pa., and her niece, Ashley Ritter, also of Wampum.
The duties of best man were performed by Eric Tomocik of Campbell.
The bride is an assistant manager with CitiFinancial in Warren.
The groom is a heavy-equipment assembler with Allied Erecting and Dismantling Co. Inc.
