Volunteers needed
The Mercer County Historical Society is looking for volunteers.
People are needed to work on the Project 2000 newspaper microfilming project, and the society will provide the necessary training for anyone willing to help.
Participants can work at their own pace, and hours are flexible.
The job does require the ability to stand for a long period while microfilming.
The society also is looking for guides/lecturers for its museum at 119 S. Pitt St. in Mercer to enhance the tours of visitors to the facility.
There are also needs for volunteers for such things as gardening, transcription, display maintenance and more.
For more information, call the society at (724) 662-3209.
