HEALTH INSURANCE
HOWLAND -- Ed Byers, a Howland resident, has been named senior media relations specialist for health insurer Medical Mutual of Ohio. Byers was previously employed as news assignment manager of WYTV, News Channel 33 Youngstown, and his broadcast career of more than 30 years also included a stint as news anchor at News Radio 570 WKBN. He was the recipient of numerous broadcast journalism awards for excellence from the Ohio and Michigan Associated Press, United Press International and the Press Club of Cleveland. He was inducted into the Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2003.
REAL ESTATE
POLAND -- Renee Peloza has joined Real Living Volpini Realty Group. A Poland resident, she received her real-estate training at Hondros College. She has work experience in advertising and purchasing, retail management and as a hairdresser.
LIBRARY
WARREN -- Carol Genova of Niles has been named manager of the Local History and Genealogy Center at the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library. She has a bachelor's degree in English from Youngstown State University.
Genova has been a staff member in the center since 1994. She succeeds Carol Wilsey Bell, who retired after 16 years of service.
