Raised in Brooklyn and Miami.
Graduate of University of Michigan and Columbia School of Law.

Professional
Earned credit at Columbia for what would become his first book and first New York Times best seller: "The Tenth Justice" (1997). His other novels -- all legal thrillers -- are: "Dead Even" (1998); "The First Counsel" (2001); "The Millionaires" (2002); "The Zero Game" (2004).
Developed idea for "Jack & amp; Bobby," with longtime friend Steve Cohen.
First comics work : Took over for Kevin Smith on Green Arrow for six issues.
Wrote speeches for President Clinton's national service program; featured on the "Today Show" and in major publications (Time, Vanity Fair and Entertainment Weekly) and newspapers nationwide; played himself in the Woody Allen film, "Celebrity."
