Tri-T Pony (ages 13-14)
Boardman Eastern Offset 9, Campbell North Star Painting 3 -- Kyle Jones went the distance in picking up the win in the playoff game. Cameron Shaffer led Boardman at the plate with a three-run homer. Drew Skelly, Kyle Firm and Frank Sferra had two hits apiece for Campbell. Jim Mszanski took the mound loss.
Boardman Eastern Offset 8, Canfield Callos Companies 1 -- Kyle Jones and Pat Durkin combined for the mound win in the Pony League championship game. Cameron Shaffer's two hits included a bases-loaded triple for Boardman (24-2). Canfield was led by Chris Brandenstein's two hits.
Poland Rotary 6, Boardman Option 5 -- Dave Baker had three hits and two RBIs. For Boardman, Dave Paradise had three hits.
Poland Rotary 3, Campbell Taylor 1 -- Jay Gonzalez had two hits with an RBI. For Campbell, Eligio Bonilla had two hits.
Poland Rotary 9, Canfield Aim 6 -- Joey Bokros scored three times. For Canfield, Rick Zunic had two hits.
Struthers Davidson-Becker 11, Struthers Daily Legal News 2 -- Mike Galletta, Jim Matricardi and Steven Streb hit doubles for the winners (16-2). Mike Cutrone had a triple and a double for Daily Legal News.
Tri-T Colt (15-17)
Boardman Boosters 5, Leetonia 4 -- Tony Sferra threw a complete game for the win. Craig Bletso went 3-for-3. Ryan Walters went 2-for-3. Dave Walker had a single. Jim Danko went 2-for-3 for Leetonia.
Boardman Boosters 10, Austintown Dennys 6 -- Bradley Moody was the winning pitcher. Corey Keller went 4-for-4, hitting for the cycle. Ryan Walters and Bill Dionisio each had a double. For Austintown, Adam Hoops went 2-for-4 with a double and Tony Precurato went 2-for-3 with a double.
Little b championship
Livi Steel 8, Koch/Line Drive 6 -- Livi won the series 3-1. Livi Steel scored single runs in the sixth and seventh innings. George Davis pitched 32/3 innings of scoreless relief for the win as he allowed just two hits and had one strikeout. Jim Pasquine had a bases-loaded triple in the four-run second for Livi and he added a single. Brett Dutton and Chester Kirkwood had two hits for Koch/Line Drive, while Armani Johnson suffered the loss. Johnson pitched 62/3 innings, allowing just two earned runs. He had one strikeout and walked nine.
