Ticket sales and deals
Two-for-one offer: Clear Channel radio stations in Pittsburgh are sponsoring their third annual Listener Appreciation Weekend, which translates into savings for concert-goers. Now through 10 p.m. Sunday at Ticketmaster outlets, some tickets are buy one, get one free.
At Post-Gazette Pavilion in Burgettstown, Pa., the offer applies to the following shows: Alanis Morissette and Barenaked Ladies, July 18 (lawn tickets); Hank Williams Jr. and Montgomery Gentry, July 30 (lawn); Linkin Park, Korn and Snoop Dogg, Aug. 9 (lawn); John Mayer and Maroon5, Aug. 13 (lawn); Brooks & amp; Dunn with Gretchen Wilson, Aug. 14 (lawn); Michael W. Smith and MercyMe, Aug. 21 (lawn); and Allman Brothers Band, Sept. 5 (out-of-cover reserved and lawn).
In addition, lawn tickets are being sold for $20 for Ozzfest on Aug. 28 at Post-Gazette Pavilion.
Regular reserved tickets are buy one, get one free for these upcoming shows at Chevrolet Amphitheatre at Station Square; Lyle Lovett, July 13; Crosby, Stills and Nash, July 13; Brad Paisley and Sara Evans, July 20; Huey Lewis and the News, Aug. 8; Bryan Adams, Aug. 15; Donnie Iris and the Cruisers, Aug. 20; The Corrs, Aug. 22; and Hall & amp; Oates, Aug. 25.
Three nights in a row: See three bands on three consecutive nights in August at Odeon Concert Club, 1295 Old River Road, Cleveland. Sonic Youth, promoting its latest rock album, "Sonic Nurse," will perform with special guest White Magic at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 9. British guitar band Gomez, which blends roots and dance music, will headline a show with The Thrills at 8 p.m. Aug. 10. Kittie, an all-female metal band from Canada, and opening acts 36 Crazyfists, Candiria and Twelve Tribes will perform at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 11. Call Ticketmaster at (330) 747-1212.
