Summary of police activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown:
CANFIELD
June 30
Carrying a concealed weapon: Police arrested an 18-year-old Beloit man on charges of carrying a concealed weapon and contributing to the unruliness or delinquency of a minor after he was seen driving recklessly in the parking lot at Giant Eagle, 525 E. Main St.
Criminal damaging: A large dent was made in the side of a 1995 Pontiac Grand Am in the parking lot at Giant Eagle.
Theft: A cell phone was reported as possibly being stolen by a resident of the 100 block of Surry Lane.
Vandalism: Fifteen separate areas of Canfield High School were spray painted with graffiti in black paint.
July 1
Drug possession: A round white pill identified as generic Ativan was found in the vehicle of a Southington man. The man was cited for having an open container in his vehicle, loud stereo and possession of the drug.
July 2
Drugs and drug paraphernalia: Police arrested a 40-year-old Ravenna man for possession of drug paraphernalia when police found a pair of hemostats and a pack of rolling papers on him. A 38-year-old Ravenna woman was charged with drug abuse, obtaining and possession when police found a plastic bag of suspected marijuana on her.
July 3
Theft: A satellite radio, Samsung cell phone and phone card were stolen from a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe parked in a driveway in the 200 block of Bradford Lane.
July 4
Drug possession and paraphernalia: A 23-year-old Cleveland man was a passenger in a car driven by a Beloit man, who was cited by police for speeding. The Cleveland passenger was arrested for drug abuse, obtaining and possessing and use of drug paraphernalia when police found a hand-rolled brown cigar containing suspected marijuana.

June 29
Theft: Home repairs were paid for but work was never started at a residence in the 300 block of Riblett Road.
Attempted burglary: An attempt was made to break into a rear window, but nothing was broken at a residence in the 5000 block of London Drive.
Criminal damaging: Lawn damage was reported at a residence in the 1000 block of Edgehill Avenue.
Theft: A male suspect was arrested in a theft at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.
June 30
Auto theft: A 1993 white Chevrolet Caprice with no license plates was stolen in the 1000 block of South Raccoon Road.
Theft: A stereo was taken from a vehicle in the 700 block of South Canfield-Niles Road.
Drug offense: Police arrested a New Springfield man in the 3000 block of Lake Road and charged him with felony drug abuse of heroin, possession of drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest and obstructing official business.
Auto theft: A 1986 Buick Regal was stolen from the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.
Burglary: A prescription for Xanax was stolen from an apartment in the 1000 block of Compass West apartments.
Breaking and entering: A garage was forced open in the 3000 block of Canfield-Niles Road.
July 1
Criminal damaging: Two vehicles were damaged in the 3000 block of Mahoning Avenue.
Burglary: There were no signs of forced entry but money and checks were stolen from the 2000 block of Whispering Pines Drive.
Theft: An air purifier was stolen from the residential 30 block of North Main Street.
July 2
Forgery: Bad checks were cashed at Golden Food Mart, 4290 New Road.
Bad checks: Bad checks totaling $1,200 were passed by a woman at Drive-Thru News and Lottery, 1735 S. Raccoon Road.
Theft: A small dachshund was stolen from a vehicle at the Ice House Inn, 5516 W. Webb Road.
Theft: Police arrested a man for theft at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: Police caught a male juvenile stealing at Wal-Mart.
Theft: Two separate vehicles had an in-dash stereo stolen from them in the 4000 block of Fitzgerald Avenue.
July 3
Theft: A socket set was stolen from a vehicle in the 1000 block of Compass West apartments.
Theft: A lawn mower was stolen from the residential 100 block of North Roanoke Avenue.
Theft: A Red Snapper 42-inch riding lawn mower was stolen from the 6000 block of Mahoning Avenue.
Theft: Two women suspects stole a purse and entered their vehicle at Payless Shoe Source, 6000 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A Kenwood CD stereo was stolen from a vehicle in the 4000 block of Fitzgerald Avenue.
Criminal damaging: The driver's-side rear window was broken at Hydro Clean, 428 Thatcher Lane.
Theft: A man and a woman stole a buggy full of merchandise at Dollar General, 6000 Mahoning Ave., and fled in a green Buick.
Criminal damaging: The driver's side, fender and both doors of a vehicle were damaged by a sharp object at the Skate Zone, 5480 Mahoning Ave.
July 4
Drug offense: An Austintown woman was arrested for passing a counterfeit prescription for Percocet at Walgreens, 5501 Mahoning Ave.
Assault: A male was assaulted by three other males in the residential 1000 block of Bexley Drive.
Theft: CDs were taken from the 80 block of Kenmar Court.
Theft: A JVC CD player was stolen from a vehicle in the 4000 block of Kirk Road.
Theft: Several CDs were taken from a residence in the 50 block of N. Four Mile Run Road.
Theft: An Aiwa CD player was taken from an apartment in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Drive.
Theft: A Ryder truck window was shattered and a fire extinguisher discharged and taken from the vehicle in the 3000 block of Oakwood Avenue.
Drug offense: An Austintown man was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the 100 block of Marcia Drive.
Drug offense: A male suspect was arrested for marijuana abuse and his female companion for curfew violation in the 5000 block of Winslow Drive.
