Miss Mihalcak, Mr. Shaffer set wedding date

XEAST PALESTINE -- Announced by John and Linda Mihalcak, 1020 Howell Ave., is the engagement of their daughter, Pamela Lynn Mihalcak of the same address, and Douglas George Shaffer, a son of Ronald and Margaret Shaffer, 638 Martin Road, Mogadore.
The bride-elect graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor's degree in advertising and marketing. She is employed in sales with Kaufmann's in Akron.
The prospective groom holds a bachelor's degree in computer information systems from KSU and is employed at Lockheed Martin in Akron.
The couple have chosen Aug. 21 for their wedding at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. They will issue invitations for the 2 p.m. ceremony and also for an evening reception at Das Dutch Village Inn in Columbiana.
