Hanoverton gets ready for Peddler Days



HANOVERTON -- Historic Plymouth Street is the primary site for Peddler Days on Saturday and Sunday with crafts, antiques, entertainment, tours, a car show and food.
Events Saturday will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Hourly entertainment will be featured on a stage in front of the Spread Eagle Tavern, including dulcimers, harmonicas, tap dancing and music ranging from folk to pop. Spectators are to bring their own chairs.
More than 35 craft vendors and peddlers will be set up along the street, as will various food vendors.
Tours of the Spread Eagle Tavern, the Hanoverton Presbyterian Church, the Hanoverton Christian Church and the Hanoverton Historical Museum will be available.
Other activities include a Civil War encampment at Hanover House on Howard Street, and the Tri-State Car Club will host a car show both days from 1 to 4 p.m. at Howard Street and state Route 9.
The Hanover Township Fire Department on Second Street will be open from noon to 3 p.m. both days with demonstrations on safety, rescue and the Jaws of Life.
