FOOD SALES AND DINNERS
THURSDAYXCroatian Home, 3200 Vestal Road, Youngstown, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4:30 to 8 p.m. The meals will be available with red or white sauces, and will include meatballs, salad, roll with butter and coffee.
XPost and auxiliary members of VFW Triangle Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve spaghetti dinners with salad, bread and coffee or tea from 4 to 8 p.m. The cost is $5 for adults and $2.50 for children under 12. Carryout dinners are $5.25.
FRIDAY
XGuilford Lake Ruritan, state Route 172 at Hanna Drive, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Meals will include potato, coleslaw, green beans, ice cream and beverage. Cost for 10-oz. dinners is $7; 20-oz., $8; and 5-oz. dinners, $4. Proceeds will benefit the Dale Moreland Scholarship Fund.
XHoly Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church will serve fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. at the church hall, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod, Spanish rice or haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries, coleslaw, string beans, applesauce, bread, and coffee or tea. The cost is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at (330) 792-1005.
XNational Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon, 2759 Lipkey Road, North Jackson, will be serving a fish buffet and selling pirogi. The buffet will be available from 3:30 to 7 p.m., and the cost will be $9 for adults and $6 for children. Potato and cheese pirogi may be ordered ahead as a takeout. The cost is $4 a dozen.
XSt. Anthony Church, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown, will be selling pizza and other Italian treats. Orders may be placed by calling (330) 746-9577 from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. and must be picked up by 1 p.m.
XSmith Grange, 11090 Beloit Snodes Road, Beloit, will hold a ham and turkey family-style dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Tickets will be available at the door and are $8 for adults, $4 for children 6-12 and free to those 5 and under.
SATURDAY
XPolish Arts Club of Youngstown will sell haluski and pirogi from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday near Kilcawley Hall on the campus of Youngstown State University.
SUNDAY
XSacred Heart of Jesus Polish National Catholic Church, 702 Cameron Ave., Youngstown, will hold a Swiss steak or chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parish hall. Dinners will also feature mashed potatoes, vegetable, salad, bread, dessert and beverage. Cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children 6-12. Takeouts also will be available.
