Babe Ruth (ages 14-15)
Line Drive 8, Astro Falcons 7 -- Astro scored three runs in the top of the seventh, but fell short. For Line Drive, Joe Koch had three hits and scored twice, Anthony LaVolpa had two RBIs and Jon Tatarka and Dom Silvestri each had two hits. Dan Kubala pitched 6 1/3 strong innings and Dean Porter came in to finish the game. For Astro, Cameron Konop had two hits and scored two times and Mike Dota had three hits and three RBIs. Line Drive advanced to the championship series against Rondinelli.
Babe Ruth (age 13)
Line Drive 6, Rondinelli 0 -- Corey Hill pitched six innings and hit a home run. Pat O'Brien and Zach Struharik had two hits and Danny Eich doubled. Struharik pitched the seventh inning for Line Drive. Vince Pensa and Anthony Fracescelli each singled for Rondinelli.
Line Drive 5, Rondinelli 4 -- Luke Franken's bases-loaded double tied the game in the sixth and Kevin McCulloh's single scored Eric Soller in the eighth inning for the win. Danny Eich had two hits for Line Drive. Danny Baco had three hits and Nick DiNello had two hits for Rondinelli. Line Drive advanced to the championship series.
Astro Falcons 11, Wharmby 1 -- Trent Vallinger tossed a one-hitter and struck out five for the Astros. Shawn Matsko and Ryan Ward pitched for Wharmby. Jason Bagoly and Shane Wagner went 3-for-4 for the Astros. Joe Manilla doubled for Wharmby. The Astros advanced to the championship round.
