Wilson jubilee to be observed July 11
XNEW WATERFORD -- Friends and relatives are invited to a reception that has been planned in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Harry B. Wilson, 47044 S. State St., New Waterford, who will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
The event will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. July 11 at New Waterford Fire Hall.
Hosts for the festivities will be their family, Tim B. and Theresa Wilson and Patty K. and Allen Lacey, all of New Waterford, and the couple's five grandchildren. One grandson is deceased.
Mr. Wilson and the former Kathleen Prater were united in marriage July 10, 1954, at New Waterford Zion Lutheran Church, where they are members.
Mrs. Wilson retired after 30 years as an insurance agent and 10 years as a part-time dispatcher with the City of East Palestine Police and Fire Department.
Mr. Wilson served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was employed 271/2 years as a tuber with NRM Steelastic Corp. in Columbiana prior to retiring. He has been a member of New Waterford Fire Department for 30 years, serving 18 years as its fire chief and presently as second assistant fire chief. He is also a trustee with Columbiana County Firemen's Association and a member of East Palestine Masonic Lodge.
