Salem club set for Red Cross event
SALEM -- Band Aid for the Red Cross, a 12-hour benefit concert, will be Saturday at the Saxon Club, 1980 Newgarden Road. Music will be continuous from 11:30 a.m. to 11:45 p.m.
All proceeds help fund local Red Cross programs and services.
Greg Rock and members of the band Ohm are coordinating the event. Also billed as Local Flow IV, the event builds on the successful format of other concerts held throughout the summer.
"All musicians are donating their time and talent to raise money to help the American Red Cross be there 24-7. This is a chance to have a great time while doing something to help our community," Rock said.
These local performers will appear: Dankly, DJ Decap, Bill Henceroth, PHC, F-Bombs, J.O.E., DJ Zealot, Lost Souls Divided, Hoodwink, 3rd Class, Metalourd, Turn Coat, The Breezeway and Ohm.
Red Cross volunteers will also have a refreshment stand. All ages are welcome, and admission is $7 at the door. Call (330) 332-0028 for information or to volunteer.
