LEADERSHIP Mahoning Chapter DAR installs slate of officers
The officers will serve until 2006.
CANFIELD -- Ileen Rozich of Girard was inducted as regent of the Mahoning Chapter, Daughters of American Revolution, for the 2004-06 term at a luncheon meeting June 8 at Canfield Presbyterian Church.
Sally Moldovan, chaplain, conducted the installation ceremony.
Those seated as associate officers were Sarah Reynolds, vice regent; Moldovan, chaplain; Kathleen Yeloushin, recording secretary; Irene Houk, corresponding secretary; Joyce Haydu, treasurer; Kathryn Ann Moldovan, historian; Joann Collier, Ruth Murosko and Betsy Casgrain, directors; and Phyllis Garwig, parliamentarian.
The following members will serve as committee chairwomen: Casgrain, president general's message; Elaine Gorant, national defense; Haydu, chapter achievements and budget; Rozich and Reynolds, program books; Peg Davis, publicity and public relations; Nancy Lewis, telephone; Collier and Nancy Lewis, pianists; and Joann Cook, hostess.
A past regent of the chapter, Rozich is also a sovereign protector of Dames of Malta, an honor extended to only 13 people in the United States. She is treasurer of the Colonial Dames of the 17th Century, past president of the Mercer County Historical Society, a member of the Foreign Wars Auxiliary and the Liberty Historical Society, and a volunteer at the Multigenerational Center of Girard.
