COSTA MESA, Calif. -- Wallace McCartney, charter member and program chairman of Temple on the Hill High Twelve Club 720 of Youngstown, was installed June 27 as president of the High Twelve International at the organization's 83rd convention in Costa Mesa.
McCartney originally became a member of Marks Lodge 359, F & amp;AM, in Huron. His High Twelve record began in 1993 with the Sandusky High Twelve Club, where he served as president.
He is a member of Scottish Rite, Toledo Zenobia Shrine; York Rite Bodies, Findlay; Ohio James Ames Measham Chapter RAM, Milan; Norwalk Council and Norwalk Commandery; Firelands Shrine Club; Knights Masons of Ireland; and Tall Cedars of Lebanon.
He also belongs to Golden Crescent Club 637, is a charter member of Western Reserve Club 731 in Medina, and is an honorary member of Leadville Chapter RAM of Colorado.
He is a past master of Marks Lodge 359 and generalissimo of Norwalk Commandery. He served as president of the Erie County Scottish Rite Association and as state president of the Ohio Association of High Twelve Clubs in 1999.
He served as an adviser in Demolay for the Huron Chapter and was named chairman of the advisory council, 5th District adviser and 5th District deputy to the governor.
He also has won numerous awards.
McCartney was employed at Ford Motor Co. in Lorain for 40 years. He is married and the father of two daughters. He also served in the U.S. Air Force.
