"Twilight Zone" marathon (9 a.m., Sci-Fi Channel) continues a holiday tradition with 31 hours of the classic series on tap for today and Monday. Favorite episodes include "Two," starring Charles Bronson and Elizabeth Montgomery as the only survivors of a nuclear holocaust, at 3 p.m. Monday.
Extremely important makeovers are the subject of "Restore America: 2004," (5 p.m., HGTV), a progress report on the restoration of 12 historic buildings. Correspondent Mireya Mayor and cinematographer Bob Cranston venture underwater where great white sharks gather to feed near Guadalupe Island, Mexico, in "National Geographic Ultimate Explorer" (8 p.m., MSNBC). And just in case no sharks are near, Cranston has developed a sound-wave device to attract them. All in the interest of science, of course.
The "Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular" (10 p.m., CBS) features performances with David Lee Roth live from the Charles River Esplanade. Hosted by newsman Harry Smith, the show will feature its traditional fireworks display with the Boston Pops rendition of the "1812 Overture" as musical accompaniment.
"An American Celebration at Ford's Theatre" (10 p.m., ABC) features Kelsey Grammer in his third year of hosting the annual gala that benefits the historic theater. This year's 24th televised edition includes a new element, as six recipients of the Medal of Honor will be introduced by actor Gary Sinise. Among the performers are Patti LaBelle, Jessica Simpson, David Spade, Rascal Flatts, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Brad Paisley, Michelle Williams, and Harold Wheeler and the American Celebration Orchestra.
