MAHONING COUNTY

Campbell: Eleventh annual Campbell City Fest in Roosevelt Park.
On Friday, music by Dominic Tocco & amp; Brotherhood and the Giatanis Band.
Saturday, a parade from City Hall to the park will begin at 12:30 p.m.; entertainment by J & amp;J Depot Dancers, DJ, Soul of One and The Edsels. 1:30-9 p.m.; car show, 5-9 p.m.
Sunday, an ecumenical service will be at 1 p.m. Afterward, entertainment by Sky Dancer Hot Air Balloon, RSVP Dancers, Libby and the Tamburitzans and Ice & amp; Spice, with fireworks at 10 p.m.
Canfield: Canfield Lions Club event, Sunday at Canfield Fairgrounds, state Route 46. Admission, $10 per car. Performances by Ronnie Navarra in his "Elvis In Me" show, 2 p.m., and Ringtail Band (country western), 3-5 p.m. Also petting zoo, pony rides, Jocko the Clown, electric train display and miniature golf. Fireworks, 10 p.m. Sunday (rain date, Monday).
North Jackson: Parade, 10 a.m. Saturday, beginning at Liberty Steel.
Poland: Concert by country western band Santa Fe and Shooting Star Classics harmonies, with fireworks during the show, 7-11 p.m. July 2, Village Gazebo, state Route 170. Free admission, but Poland Firefighters Association will sell refreshments and take donations for 13-year-old cancer patient Justine Ula, daughter of firefighter Bob Ula. Information, (330) 757-8268.
Struthers: No Fourth of July fireworks display. Fireworks will be at 10 p.m. July 17 at Bob Cene Park on opening day of Connie Mack baseball tournament.
Youngstown: The city's Independence Day festivities will last all weekend and feature music, food, and fireworks.
The three day event, part of the "Sounds of Summer" series sponsored by the city's Federal Plaza Office and Anthony's On The River, will take place both inside and outside Anthony's.
Three music groups will perform outside while grills cook up hot dogs, hamburgers and steak sandwiches. Anthony's will be open inside for food as well.
The city is trying to promote downtown with this Independence Day celebration and other Federal Plaza sponsored parties throughout the summer, said Claire Maluso, the city's Federal Plaza director.
The festivities begin on Friday with a Caribbean themed night. Rudy and the Professionals, a band from the Bahamas, will perform from 8 p.m. to midnight. Anthony's will prepare island themed food in addition to more traditional items.
On Saturday, Backbeat Swing with John Reese will perform from 8 p.m. to midnight.
On Sunday, oldies band Frankie and the Sensations will perform from 7-11 p.m. A fireworks display by B.J. Alan will take place from the B & amp;O parking lot at 10 p.m.
TRUMBULL COUNTY
Howland: Daylong July 4 celebration with events for adults and children: 8 a.m., 5 kilometer run and walk starting from Howland High School football stadium. Registration forms available at YMCA, YWCA, St. Joseph Health Center and township administration building. 9 a.m., line-up for 10 a.m. parade at Hunter Woods plaza, East Market Street. Pre-registration required at the township building; 9:30 a.m., participants line-up for 10 a.m. bike parade at Cord Camera, East Market Street; 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., games, entertainment, face-painting, food and music at the corner of Willow Drive and East Market Street; noon to 4 p.m., car show at corner of Willow Drive and East Market Street; noon, pet parade with prizes for cutest, smartest, best dressed, best behaved and most unusual pets. Mesopotamia: Hours for the Volunteer Firemen's Association's 31st annual Ox Roast and Antiques & amp; Flea Market will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and 10 a.m. Monday. Activities will be in the town center, state Routes 534 and 87. More than 160 dealers are expected to participate in the sales.
Entertainment on Saturday will include Howland Safety Trailer from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Psalm Drummers, 10:30 a.m.; Jungle Terry, 1 p.m.; Geauga Highlanders Pipes & amp; Drums, 3 p.m.; Fort Huntsburg Band, 5:30 p.m.
Sunday entertainment will be by X-Tol, noon; Rock-N-Country Cloggers, 2:30 and 5 p.m.; Jungle Terry, 4 p.m.; and Amnesia, 6:30 p.m.
Monday: Limited Edition will perform at noon.
Newton Falls: Parade, 10 a.m. July 3; Lions Club Carnival and Festival, through Sunday in City Park on Quarry Street; fireworks, 10 p.m. Sunday, also in City Park.
Niles: Downtown Street Fest along State Street, 6-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 6-midnight Sunday.
Friday's events: Parade, 7 p.m.; music by Road Work, 7-10 p.m; bingo in Niles Senior Center.
Saturday: Music by Frank Gallo, 7-11 p.m.; bingo in Niles Senior Center.

Vienna: Vienna Township Neighborhood Watch presents the Fourth of July at the Gazebo.
The Gazebo area will open at 5 p.m. Sunday. Bring lawn chairs. Entertainment begins with Just the Two of Us, featuring Jane Christopher and Billy Smith on keyboards, at 6 p.m. Danny G's "Memories of Elvis Tribute" follows at 8:15. Sandwiches, coffee, soft drinks and Ice cream will be available. Free admission.
COLUMBIANA COUNTY
Columbiana: Community Celebration begins at noon Sunday in Firestone Park with a fishing contest for children ages 3 to 12. Other features will be family games from 1 to 3 p.m.; pet show and canoe race, 2 p.m.; music by Bear Foot Band, 2-4 p.m. in the park gazebo; ice cream-eating contest for ages 2 to 12, 3 p.m.; watermelon eating contest for children and adults, 4 p.m.; Calliope music, 5-6 p.m. in the gazebo; flag-bearing sky divers, 6:45 p.m.; Canfield Community Band, 7-8:30 p.m.; flag ceremony and World War II veterans recognition, 8:50 p.m.; fireworks, 10 p.m.
East Palestine: Fourth of July events begin at 8 a.m. with a breakfast in the community center, sponsored by East Palestine Alumni & amp; Associates. The rest of the schedule: Pet parade, 10 a.m.; bicycle parade, 12:30 p.m.; games, 2 p.m.; duck derby, 4 p.m.; basketball free throw, 5:15 p.m.; horse chip bingo, 6 p.m.; light parade, dusk, followed by fireworks.
Salem: The Memorial & amp; Patriotic Association will sponsor fireworks to cap its Independence Day events Saturday evening at Memorial Park. The fireworks will start approximately at dusk. Decorated bicycle and pet parades will be that morning. The parades will travel down Broadway between Pershing and State streets, and judging of the decorations will be held afterward, with prizes for the winners.
WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA

Franklin: LibertyFest Parade, 6 p.m. Saturday; "Thunder Over Franklin" fireworks display, at dusk in Riverfront Park.
New Wilmington: The 15th annual Independence Day festival will begin at 7:30 p.m. Friday with Veterans Memorial Pipers Band, a bagpipe group from Meadville. Also performing will be River City Brass Band, New Life Baptist Church Singers, Eintracht Maennerchor Singing Society and singers from Living Word and Clen-Moore churches. Fireworks at dusk.
