BLACKSBURG, Va. -- Ann Strother scored eight points during a second-half run and Connecticut pulled away for a victory over Virginia Tech. The game was delayed for 24 minutes in the first half because of a power failure. Connecticut led 11-2 when the lights flickered, dimmed and then went off with 14:34 to play in the half. Connecticut (15-2, 6-1 Big East) led throughout thanks to an early 14-0 run. Its lead dropped to 11 at 41-30 with 14 minutes left until the Huskies' 3-pointers started falling in an 18-8 burst.

MANHATTAN, Kan. -- Nicole Ohlde scored 26 points and Kendra Wecker had 16 points and 11 rebounds, leading Kansas State over Baylor. Kansas State never trailed in winning its 28th straight home game. The Wildcats (14-3, 5-1 Big 12) led 34-30 at halftime. Megan Mahoney then scored seven points as Kansas State began the second half with an 11-2 run. Emily Niemann led the Bears (16-4, 4-3) with 23 points.
