Second-year wideout David Givens, a native of Humble, Texas, said the past week was one of the most hectic of his young life. Playing in the Super Bowl so close to home has brought the obvious array of ticket requests from family and friends.
"I got about 50 [requests] but we only got 15 [tickets] so I had a lot of unhappy family and friends," Givens said. "It got to the point last week where I just had to turn my phone off."

David Lamar Givens was born in Youngstown, Ohio on Aug. 16, 1980 ... David's brother, Jesse, played football at Yale ...Rated the 53rd best player nationally by the Chicago Sun-Times and 59th best player by The Sporting News at Humble (Tex.) High ... Rated one of top 100 players nationally by Dallas Morning News ... Earned three letters in football while playing eight different positions ... Captain of team as a senior ... Chicago (11/10): Caught a pass for six yards on a Patriots touchdown drive in the fourth quarter of their 33-30, come-from-behind win over the Bears. Buffalo (12/8): Recorded the longest reception of his career, a leaping, 30-yard grab on third-and-12 in the Patriots' 27-17 win over the Bills. Miami (12/29): Snared a 13-yard grab in the final minute of the first half to help set up a field goal in the Patriots' come-from-behind, 27-24 overtime win over the Dolphins ... Drew a 30-yard pass interference penalty in the fourth quarter, bringing the Patriots inside the Miami five-yard line and setting up a Troy Brown touchdown grab two plays later to cut the deficit to just three points (24-21).
