ASSOCIATIONS
XBoardman-Canfield Branch of American Association of University Women will hold a meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Mahoning County Joint Vocational School, 7300 Palmyra Road, Canfield. XEasterm Ohio Pharmacists Association will meet at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at Lucianno's Restaurant, Austintown. A program on "Update on Geriatrics" will be presented by Dr. Charles D. Wilkins, a board-certified geriatrician. Refreshments will be provided. All pharmacists and pharmaceutical representatives are invited.
XWarren Charter Chapter of the American Business Women's Association will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at G's Golden Gate Restaurant, 2186 Parkman Road, Warren. Kathy Horvath, registered nurse with the American Heart Association, will speak on "Women and Heart Disease." The chapter's 2004 Woman of the Year will be announced. Coffee and cake will be served. XMcDonald Baseball Association will meet at 6 p.m. Sunday in the senior citizens room at the post office building.
XMcDonald Basketball Boosters will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the high school cafeteria.
AUXILIARIES
XAustintown Eagles will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. A Swiss steak dinner for auxiliary members and friends will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Feb. 22. Meals will include mashed potatoes, vegetables, salad and bread. The cost is $6.95.
XVFW Auxiliary 7538 will meet for dinner at 6 p.m. Wednesday at The Elmton in Struthers. Dorothy McLaughlin will preside for business at 7 p.m. For reservations call Eleanor Goskie at (330) 755-2051 by Monday. Dues are now payable.
XYoungstown Eagles 213 Auxiliary will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the aerie on South Avenue. Officers will meet at 7:15. A valentine bake sale is planned for 4 to 8 p.m. Feb. 13 at the aerie. Members are asked to donate baked goods for the event.

LIBRARY FRIENDS
XFriends of Poland Library will meet at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday for refreshments and a business meeting. The guest speaker will be Alan Stephens, a docent at Butler Institute of American Art. Hostesses will be Jessie Torbron, Mary Jane Pavelko and Barbara Sladewski. New members are welcome.
RELIGIOUS GROUPS
XImmaculate Heart of Mary Altar and Rosary Society will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the school social hall. The program will be "Walking Through Grief" with Sister Pat Fesler. Hostesses will be Mary Alice Wood and Pat Parrotta. The organization is collecting new underwear and socks during February and March for the Brecksville Veterans Hospital.
XSt. Michael Altar Guild will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the parish center for a social meeting and game night. Recitation of the rosary will precede the meeting at 7 in the church. XUnited Methodist Women of Richard Brown Memorial United Methodist Church will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday at the church. The executive committee will convene at 12:15 p.m. Jayne Jobe will give the blessing, and Edith Thornton and Betty Kolat will be in charge of lunch along with their committee. Those attending are to take a sandwich. The program will be prayer and self-denial.

Carolyn Gustafson is committee chairwoman, and serving on the committee will be Mary Lou Beck, Barb McPhillips, Jackie Price, Mary Sheridan, Lori Brennan, Martha Conroy, Naomi Hart and Sue Williams. SINGLES
XOriginal Christian Singles will meet at 6 p.m. Monday at Glenwood Methodist Church for a Valentine's Day celebration. The club will furnish cake and ice cream, and members may take candy or other items. This will be a variety party to which members are asked to take a favorite joke, story or poem to share. XBeta Chi Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma will meet for dinner at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Victorian Room in Niles. A program on women's history will be give by Carol Starre-Kmiecik, who will portray Amelia Earhart. Kathleen Zimmerman of Beatitude House also will speak and will accept a $500 scholarship from Shirley Stocz, president, for a worthy student and resident of the facility.
