Aut Mori Grotto installs officers for 2004
CANFIELD -- Aut Mori Grotto held installation of officers Jan. 10 at the Shangri La.
Larry Ortz was seated as monarch, and installed as his associate officers were Gary Farrant, chief justice; Glen McClain, master of ceremonies; Sean Craig, treasurer; Ron Craig, secretary; Marshall Farrant, venerable prophet; Kevin Bissendeen, orator; Don Hobbs, chaplain; Clair Reedy, marshall; Sam Stambaugh, captain of the guard; and J.J. LoSasso and Gordon Frames, sentinels.
Elected to the board of trustees for a three-year term were Tom Wright and Jim Rice. Those inducted to serve on the board of OTTORG for three years were Sean Craig, Tom Wright and Jim Coalmer.
New leader
Ortz and his wife, Connie, reside in Austintown and have three children. He is a member of Argus Lodge 545 and serves as chairman of the Grotto's annual haunted hay ride as well as on the executive committee of the Circus Aut Mori.
The Grotto is an international organization of master Masons that contributes to cerebral palsy and dentistry for handicapped children through age 17. The local chapter meets the first Wednesday of each month.
