LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Louisville didn't miss Rick Pitino in its first game without its ailing coach.
With assistant Kevin Willard in charge, the fourth-ranked Cardinals beat Houston 64-48 Wednesday for their 16th consecutive victory.
Pitino received treatment at the Cleveland Clinic for an undisclosed ailment that's caused him pain for months.
Larry O'Bannon and Nate Daniels scored 17 points apiece to lead Louisville (16-1, 6-0 Conference USA).

The Panthers (20-1, 6-1 in Big East) needed a game-ending 14-3 run to win after squandering a 12-point lead.

CINCINNATI -- Tony Bobbitt made a pair of 3-pointers in the span of half a minute to spark Cincinnati (15-1, 6-1 C-USA).
Cincinnati missed 11 of its first 15 shots until Bobbitt's 3-pointers sparked the Bearcats on a 16-4 run for 26-13 lead with 8:08 remaining in the half.
