K.C.'s Mastrian reaches 1,000

HERMITAGE, Pa. -- Senior Leah Mastrian became the fourth girl in Kennedy Catholic High history to score 1,000 career points as the Eagles posted a 57-22 win over Mercer Monday.
Mastrian scored 25 points to give the 5-foot-11 forward 1,002 points for her career.
She added six rebounds and two assists Monday.
Kennedy Catholic (16-2) has won seven games in a row.
A 19-point second quarter allowed the Eagles to open a 35-12 lead at the break.
Emily Humes scored six points for the Mustangs.
Liberty 47, LaBrae 34
LEAVITTSBURG -- Brittny Humphrey had 10 points and five steals, while Cherie Austin also had 10 points to lead Liberty in a Trumbull Athletic Conference game.
Chenelle Mills contributed eight steals for the Leopards (11-3, 6-2 TAC).
Maddie D'Orio led LaBrae (2-12, 0-8) with seven points.
