Anniversary party scheduled in Nevada for Mr. and Mrs. Charles Stephens



XLAUGHLIN, Nev. -- The Colorado Belle Hotel will be the setting Jan. 30 for a dinner party planned in celebration of the 51st wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Stephens of 387 S. Main St., Columbiana, and of 3550 Bay Sands Drive, Apt. 2092.
Hosts for the event will be their son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Barbara Stephens of Foster City, Calif., and the couple's friends and relatives.
The couple have another son, Jerry Stephens of Columbiana.
Mr. Stephens and the former Barbara Garland were married Jan. 30, 1953, at the Epworth Methodist Church in Youngstown.
Prior to retiring in 1985, Mrs. Stephens was employed by Dr. M. Brown and Drs. Cukerbaum, Brady and Flynn in Youngstown as an office nurse, a certified medical assistant and an EKG technician. In Laughlin, she is a member of the senior citizens club, arts and crafts club and Laughlin Community Church, where she serves on the church board and is a Sunday school teacher. In Columbiana she is a member of the Church of the Nazarene, the Columbiana United Methodist Church choir, the readers guild, historical society and doll club.
Her husband retired in 1992 from the Columbiana post office, where he was a letter carrier. In Laughlin he attends Laughlin Community Church and is a member of a bowling and a golf league and of the senior citizens club.
