YOUNGSTOWN -- Several hundred high school students in grades nine through 12 and their parents are expected to attend Youngstown State University's second annual on-campus pre-college workshop from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 30 in the Chestnut Room of the university's Kilcawley Center.
Leon Stennis, coordinator of diversity initiatives, said the workshop is designed to bring together a diverse group of students and parents from school districts in YSU's main five-county service area to learn about the college preparation process. Topics include pre-college courses and testing, admissions, financial aid and campus living.
