Family dinner marks Vietses' golden event

XCANFIELD -- Mr. and Mrs. Norman T. Viets, 3624 Highmeadow Drive, were guests of honor during a family dinner Jan. 17 at the Roadhouse restaurant, Youngstown, for the celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Hosts and hostesses for the event were the honorees' children and spouses, William J. and Joice Viets of Columbus, Robin P. and Robert Stock of Mineral Ridge, and Michael N. Viets and Sharon L. Burke, both of Austintown.
The former Beverly P. Brakeman and Mr. Viets were married Jan. 16, 1954, at Maysville Community Church.
Now retired, Mr. Viets was a truck driver for 45 years. He is a member of Austintown Eagles and served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a sergeant.
Mrs. Viets is a homemaker.
The family circle includes nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Two sons, Richard T. and Darrell C. Viets, are deceased.
